Blog

As I will not be seeing many of you over the summer at various art events,  I wanted to reach out with gratitude to all of you for your patronage and support over the years.  I do hope that each of you are finding positive ways of meeting the challenges of these unusual times and that you stay safe and well.  I am seeing so many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness that it gives me hope that we will view our selves and our place in the world differently in the future.  I am enjoying painting as well as time in the garden and putting my running shoes on more often which is a good thing.  Here are two different approaches to the same subject, hope you enjoy.  If you would like to see either of these paintings, or any others let me know.   Blessings on you all!!!  www.annebowen.ca

Hi Everyone

Just a head's up that I am in my final week of residency at the Coast Hotel on Kingston near Fisherman's Wharf.  It has been a fun filled 3 weeks, meeting people, chatting about the artistic process, sharing travel stories, catching up with friends etc.  I hope you have all had a great summer and I for one am looking forward to a slower pace after a very busy summer.  I will be taking down the show Saturday, Sept. 30 and would love to see you before then or if there is any information you would like on your favorite piece, give me a shout  www.annebowen.ca or bowena@shaw.ca

I hope you are all having a great summer and enjoying the cooler weather.  Just a short note to let you know that I will be setting up at the Coast Hotel, 146 Kingston Street, near Fisherman's Wharf and painting in the lobby for the month of September.  I will be displaying 45 works through out the lobby and dining areas.  Work can also be viewed at www.annebowen.ca but it would be lovely to see you in person.  I will be away at a retreat September 7 - 11 (paintings will remain hanging) otherwise I hope to be at the hotel most days from 11:00 - 4:00).
