Hello everyone

I do hope you are all well and staying positive in these challenging times.  I have been doing a lot of weaving along with painting lately and would like to let you know that I will be participating in an Artisan show at St. Luke's Church hall on October 24 from 11 - 4 pm.  I will be showing my woven jackets and infinity scarves as well as a few newer paintings.  We also have a jeweller, knife maker, greeting card artist, painters, potter and herbalist showing their work. It should be a very interesting show.  Masks will be mandatory as well as social distancing, by allowing a limited number into the hall at a time.  There is plenty of parking off Cedar Hill X Road.  For a sneak peak at my work visit my new gallery "Woven Wearable Art" at www.annebowen.ca  You may find some interesting and unique Christmas presents.

We had such a huge success with our last "Art in the Garden" event that we are hosting another one July 18, 10 - 4.  This time besides Richard Wong, wildlife artist, we have Casey Castle showing her wonderful jewelry and myself showing my weaving (scarves, jackets etc.) as well as my latest paintings.  I will have several paintings with up to a 70% discount with proceeds going to Wild Arc in Metchosin.  This organization rescues and rehabilitates wild life in our area, a much needed service.  As we live at the end of a wildlife corridor, we have sent many animals to Wild Arc over the years.

Although appointments are not mandatory they do help us with our social distancing plans so if you would like, please email me to book an appointment on the hour from 10 - 4:00.  We will be monitoring the number of people in the garden at any one time, but as we have 1/2 acre, this should not be too difficult.

There is lots of parking at the end of the street near King's Pond, a few yards down the road.

My address is 3735 Ascot Drive north end of Cedar Hill Golf Course.  For a sneak peak visit www.annebowen.ca

Good Morning Everyone

Richard Wong and I had such a successful show in the garden last month that we are planning another one in July.  Even though the weather was less than perfect we were fully booked.  I wanted to also let you know that I have added another gallery to my website "Woven Wearable Art".  I have been weaving a fair bit in the last couple of months and will be showing some of my weaving as well as paintings at the show.  You might want a sneak peak.  www.annebowen.ca  Take care everyone and hopefully see you next month.

Hello everyone

Richard and I have decided to do the garden exhibition for one day only on May 30.  We currently have 2 spots at 1:00 pm and 2 spots at 3:00.  As mentioned in the previous blog, we are allowing 4 people in the garden on an hourly basis, this will ensure everyone practices safe distancing.  We have been overwhelmed with the enthusiasm for this idea and hope to do this again when we can.  You can email me at bowena@shaw.ca or contact me through www.annebowen.ca   Stay well and hope to catch up with you soon.

Hello Everyone

Along with the cautious reopening of businesses, Richard Wong and myself are hosting an art event by invitation.

When:  Saturday, May 30th, 11:00 - 4:00 pm

Where:  Anne's 1/2 acre garden, 3735 Ascot Drive, lots of parking at King's Pond

We feel that with the current situation, there is a real need to get out and see some beauty and creativity and what better way than spending an hour talking with and seeing what we do as well as viewing some beautiful art.

We plan to open most Saturdays (weather permitting) throughout June and perhaps July.

Artwork will be on display in the garden and studio shed and will be for sale as well as many other items.

Guest/Health Management:  Visits will be by appointment for one hour time slots.  Recommendations by the BC Health Authorities will be followed.

One hour spots are now open for reservation for up to 4 people starting at 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Contact Anne bowena@shaw.ca or Richard wong2894@telus.net to book your visit and let us know how many will be in your party.

We'll see you at the art show!

As I will not be seeing many of you over the summer at various art events,  I wanted to reach out with gratitude to all of you for your patronage and support over the years.  I do hope that each of you are finding positive ways of meeting the challenges of these unusual times and that you stay safe and well.  I am seeing so many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness that it gives me hope that we will view our selves and our place in the world differently in the future.  I am enjoying painting as well as time in the garden and putting my running shoes on more often which is a good thing.  Here are two different approaches to the same subject, hope you enjoy.  If you would like to see either of these paintings, or any others let me know.   Blessings on you all!!!  www.annebowen.ca

We have just had word that Glenlyon Norfolk School has closed the School and cancelled all events due to a potential coronavirus infection.

I would love to see you at the Scattered Artist Tour on May 23 and 24 held in my garden.  I will send out a blog with details mid May, www.annebowen.ca
